Cargo Manager

A Cargo Manager is responsible for overseeing the transportation of goods and materials, both domestically and internationally. They are responsible for managing cargo operations, including scheduling shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations, negotiating rates, and coordinating with various departments to ensure timely and efficient delivery.


Tasks:

  • Plan and oversee the shipment of cargo by air, land, and sea.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure timely delivery of cargo.
  • Manage inventory and ensure that sufficient supplies are available to meet demand.
  • Communicate with vendors, customers, and other stakeholders to coordinate shipments and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those related to safety, security, and documentation.
  • Monitor transportation costs and negotiate rates with carriers and other service providers.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
